Lisa A Bono, CPBC has been involved in aviculture over the past four decades and has been a caregiver to numerous species of parrots during that time. In early 1990, Bono founded and served as President for the Sussex County Exotic Bird Club in North Jersey, and shortly thereafter, acquired her first African grey parrot, a wild caught Timneh.
